FloodCraft is a collective of artists that came together initially from their tethers to Dayton, Ohio and their desires relating to concerns of care, community, and growth. They are comprised of Ashley Speelman, Claud Jackert, Ethan Levett, Jesse Ly, Kyle Thiele & Zac Collopy who all work in disparate mediums that they pull together to make, develop, and flourish collaboratively.
They have a desire to live in a more compassionate and empathetic world. They meet, they practice, they reap and they realize together in an effort to cultivate structures and artworks that formulate an attention to each other and their environments.Working with ethereal concerns and planting seeds of understanding and consideration, they favor formulating cohesion, participation, and action in their works, exhibitions and endeavors.
This is done in multiple formats including transporting trees, sharing meals, studio rituals and building tables to enrich each other's practices for the betterment of their collective infrastructure.

.
Hibernacula was the first FloodCraft exhibition that focused on a larger collaborative endeavor mixed with our individual practices. The exhibition took place at the beginnings of spring, focused towards the reconvening, seance, and transition of life - rooted with a tree pulled carried and transported to the gallery from the Great Miami River in Dayton. The tree was then extended and transformed by the collective members as one large collaborative work. This was done to extend and host a multitude of interconnecting points to interrealte each of the wide array of works produced by each individual
